Testimonials Cenotaph Cleaning: IMI would like to share some of the feedback from our valued customers
Ian Sparks
Vice Chairman
Earls Colne Parish Council
Earls Colne in Essex has a War Memorial made of stone dating from 1921.
Over the past decades, the Memorial had become gradually dirtier due to traffic film, tree sap and other forms of clinging dirt in the air. As the Vice Chairman and Councillor with responsibility for the Memorial, I was authorised by the Parish Council to look into a cleaning of the Memorial. I contacted the War Memorials Trust and was directed to I.M.I.
Early 2012 I contacted I.M.I. and the immediate impression was of expert knowledge about the subject. After an initial chat, details of our Memorial were left. Within two days a reply was received to inform us as to how and what was required. I.M.I. had checked the details, ‘googled’ our Memorial and site and knew what was required.
After sanctioning from the Parish Council, they came down to us and not only cleaned the Memorial far beyond what we anticipated, but, also gave us a detailed survey of the condition of the Memorial. The cleansing has brought very good comments from the villagers and the Memorial now stands out as one travels the High Street.
I am very grateful for the service supplied by I.M.I. and would recommend their services to any Authority requiring work as supplied to us. Professional, caring, personal and communicative throughout.
Helen Bojaniwska, Town Clerk
Dursley Town CouncilI would be happy to recommend your services. I am very satisfied with the cleaning work you did on our War Memorial Gates, in particular your willingness to make more than one visit to get the job done properly.

“The work on Daventry War Memorial was carried out on time, and to our complete satisfaction – Daventry Town Council.”
Perlethorpe – cum – Budby Parish Meeting first became involved with IMI Jack Sills early in 2011 for the cleaning of the Cenotaph in Budby, thanks to an NCC grant .This extensive monument was first commissioned in 1921 and had been paid for by residents together with a substantial grant from Earl Manvers. Neglect and disrepair had left it`s mark. IMI were one of three quotes the parish submitted to Notts County Council, Pleased to say IMI were chosen to undertake the work. IMI Jacks Sills returned to complete the full renovation, with the installition of the metal chains. All his work was of a high standard.
As parish clerk I have always found it easy to work with IMI Jack Sills, quotes and full information for the work to be undertaken always on time and competitive. Nothing left to chance. He was also prepared to return to site the following day and put right a minor item regarding the metal chains.
Subject to funds we look forward to employing IMI in 2013 to clean and paint our Victorian Grade 11 listed Penfold Post Box.
